WorkingShop Exhibition

Spring 2011
The WorkingShop Exhibition was a collaboration with the Graphic Design grad students of the University of Houston Fine Arts program. This multi-faceted exhibition focuses on the history of Ryan Middle School, built in 1926 as Jack Yates Colored High School, and the rich history of the Third Ward of Houston. The exhibition was based in a site that once served as Ryan’s woodwork/vocational shop.

My team:
-focused on the academic portion of Yates Colored High School, displaying notable alumni and class photographs, as well as achievements
-designed the Staircase to Success
-created a space paying homage to William S. Holland, Yates’ most notable former principal
-designed the entry wall
